The Green Supply Chain (GSC) Digital Innovation Hub (DIH) aims at empowering companies, which operate inside the agri-food supply chain, to uptake the advantages of new technologies, in order not to fall victim to the “digital divide”. Thus, GSC promotes digital transformation while promoting sustainable development, circular
economy, environmental protection, and tackling climate change. GSC particularly focuses on SMEs and public organisations. It offers them services such as sustainable innovation mentoring, knowledge and technology transfer, testing new digital technologies, capacity building and skill development, living labs for open sustainable innovation, pilot and demonstration, etc. This DIH aligns with the principles of the new European Commission (EC) directives for the Circular Economy, the new “Green Deal” and the “Farm to Fork” strategy for a sustainable, fair, healthy and environmental-friendly food system.
