Smart Tools for Smarter Farm Management

Small and medium-sized farms in North Macedonia face persistent barriers to digital adoption, including fragmented plots, limited digital literacy and high initial investment requirements.

How Will RAMAS Address the Challenge?

RAMAS (Remote Agricultural Monitoring and Advisory System) leverages Earth Observation (EO), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and sensor networks to provide real-time, actionable insights tailored to each farm’s conditions. By integrating Farmtopia’s Reusable Components, weather, EO, and pest forecasts, the SIP reduces infrastructure costs and offers actionable guidance tailored to SMFs. This ensures timely interventions, optimized input use, and better resilience under drought and erosion stress.

Following its business model, AGFUTURA and Kievo farm will co-create and validate TAMS from TRL6 to TRL8. The model emphasises affordability, modularity and scalability, enabling SMFs to adopt only the advisory models they need.

Results Expected: Improved crop management practices; Reduced environmental impact; Enhanced farm profitability; Broader adoption of digital solutions among SMFs.
