European Projects and Their Mission:
AgRoboConnect (Interreg France)
AgRoboConnect aims to reduce the use of chemical crop protection products and promote sustainable agricultural practices. The project addresses the emerging revolution in the agricultural sector, where robotic systems increasingly support farmers in their work. Test platforms in Flanders (Inagro), Wallonia (CRA-W), and France (Arvalis and Chambre d’Agriculture de la Somme) integrate, test, and evaluate robotic systems in cropping systems. A shared evaluation method will determine which systems are most effective.
Farmtopia (Horizon Europe)
Farmtopia is developing digital solutions for sustainable farming, connecting farmers, advisors, and agri-tech providers. Through Sustainable Innovation Pilots (SIPs), Farmtopia tests decision-support tools, AI-driven management systems, and data-sharing platforms to improve farm productivity, environmental performance, and profitability across Europe.
AgriFood4Future (Erasmus+)
AgriFood4Future focuses on training the farmers of the future. With a network of 23 partners, it designs and pilots innovative training modules for Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Higher Education Institution (HEI) students, farmers, and advisors. The project fosters collaboration across six Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) (Italy, France, Spain, Portugal,Belgium and Greece), bridging skill gaps and strengthening cooperation within the agrifood
What is Arvalis?
ARVALIS is the largest applied agricultural research organization in France and a leading technical reference for field crops. Its mission is to assemble knowledge and provide innovations to producers of straw cereals (soft wheat, durum wheat, barley, triticale, rye, oats, rice, etc.), corn (grain, seed, sweet), sorghum, potatoes, forage, fiber flax, tobacco, and related economic sectors.
Created by farmers and sector organizations that finance it, ARVALIS contributes to the development of high-quality grain production and raw materials for national and international markets. The institute applies independent expertise to develop agro-ecological production systems that combine economic, social, environmental, and health performance.
See you on Tuesday, March 24th at 10:00 AM CET.
