Farmtopia is excited to announce its participation in the Digital Agroecology Cluster Conference, taking place on 17 – 18 November 2025 at L42, Rue de la Loi 42, Brussels. The event will bring together policymakers, researchers, advisors, farmers, and innovators to explore how digital technologies can support sustainable farming and agroecological practices.
Organised by the Horizon Europe project PATH2DEA, the event unites eight EU-funded initiatives working at the intersection of digitalisation and agroecology, providing a platform for dialogue, collaboration, and knowledge exchange. The conference is open to all stakeholders, who will have the chance to network with the eight cluster projects involved, which are: PATH2DEA, REFOREST, Farmtopia, GOOD – AGrOecOlogy for weeDs, D4AgEcol, AGROSUS, Agroserv and Agroecology Partnership.
What to Expect
Over two days, the conference will combine presentations, panel discussions, and a co-creation workshop to explore both technological and social dimensions of digitalisation in farming.
The conference will provide an opportunity for stakeholders to examine not only the technological but also the social dimensions of digitalisation, including how farmers and advisors interact with tools in real-life conditions. With contributions from multiple EU-funded projects, the event is designed to encourage knowledge exchange, collaboration, and policy alignment across Europe’s sustainable farming community.
Briefly, the conference will:
- Provide a platform for dialogue between researchers, policymakers, advisors, farmers, and innovators.
- Address barriers and enable conditions for the uptake of digital technologies in sustainable farming.
- Present case studies on robotics, drones, sensors, and other digital tools, analysing trade-offs, benefits, and cost-effectiveness.
- Present new resources and platforms developed by the Cluster projects.
- Highlight the social dimension of digitalisation, including experiences from living labs and multi-actor platforms.
- Conclude with an interactive co-creation session, gathering diverse perspectives on digitalisation, policy, and the future of sustainable farming in Europe.
Farmtopia’s Role at the Conference:
Farmtopia will present its approach to Agricultural Digital Solutions (ADSs) for small-scale farms. Farmtopia’s consortium member Odysseas Sekkas from NEUROPUBLIC SA will lead the presentation on how Farmtopia combines data-driven decision support, AI tools, and practical on-farm testing to ensure that digital innovations are accessible, effective, and relevant for farmers. In other words, the session will provide insights into how software modules are designed and tested in real-world farm settings.
Participation & Registration:
The conference is open to all stakeholders, including researchers, policymakers, advisors, and farmers. Registration is required.
