Farmtopia at the International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad: A Day of Innovation, Engagement, and Collaboration
The Farmtopia Project made a significant impression at the International Agricultural Fair 2024 in Novi Sad, being part of the opening day on the 18th of May. The event brought together thousands of visitors from all branches of agriculture, ranging from agricultural professionals to enthusiasts interested in exploring agricultural potential.
Our presence was proudly represented at the booth by our communication and dissemination team from Foodscale Hub – the organisation’s CEO Mladen Radišić, Dušan Pevac, and Julia Mitrović. The response from attendees was nothing short of enthusiastic, as people from various backgrounds expressed keen interest in what we are striving to achieve within the project.
Engagement at the Farmtopia Booth at the Agricultural Fair
One of the key highlights at Farmtopias booth at International Agricultural Fair was the interest shown by small-scale farmers. These vital contributors to the agricultural landscape were particularly intrigued by the Agricultural Digital Solutions (ADSs) that Farmtopia is co-creating in partnership with both farmers and digital providers.
Building Bridges
As we look ahead to more collaborative efforts, the fair also provided a valuable opportunity to showcase our work alongside our collaborator, the QuantiFarm project.
Fun times
The Farmtopia booth wasn’t just about serious discussions; we also made sure there was plenty of fun and interactive engagement. Our “Spin-the-Wheel” activities were a hit among agriculture students, farmers, entrepreneurs, and consumers alike. Not only did participants learn more about our project and Sustainable Innovation Pilots (SIPs), but they also walked away with some project-branded materials, making the experience both educational and enjoyable.
The Buzz Around Our Open Call
At our booth, there was significant buzz surrounding our upcoming Open Call, scheduled for this autumn, which will fund nine third-party Sustainable Innovation Pilots (SIPs) with €100,000 each. The Open Call represents a unique opportunity for forward-thinking innovators to contribute to the future of agriculture, and the anticipation for it was palpable.
